One of the crucial beloved Disney films of all time is just about to hit the state in Spokane.
Mary Poppins will open the 72nd season for the Spokane Civic Theatre this Friday. The forged and crew have been burning the midnight oil all week getting ready for what promises to be a present like no different.
Alyssa Day, a life-lengthy Spokane resident, performs Mrs. Banks within the show. She’s no stranger to the Civic stage, collaborating in her first present at age 10. Almost 30 years later, she says no show she’s been in has quite the magic that Mary Poppins has.
“The sense of fun and whimsy and youthfulness. Everyone within the show has a second. Even probably the most stodgy of characters have a moment of type of letting go and turning into a toddler once more,” she shared.
Mary Poppins will run from September 14 by means of October 14. Tickets are available for advanced purchase. A particular “scholar rush” ticket is on the market 30 minutes previous to curtain for $15.
