Bill could broaden options for charter students


A Home Republican on Tuesday filed a proposal that would assist clear the best way for constitution-faculty college students to participate in sports activities and different extracurricular actions at personal faculties.

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Naples, filed the invoice (HB 119) for consideration through the 2017 session, which begins in March.

Present regulation permits constitution-faculty college students to participate in interscholastic extracurricular actions at public faculties that they might in any other case attend.

Donalds’ invoice would broaden that to permit the scholars to take part in such actions at personal faculties.
