'Cajun Navy' headed to Houston to offer Harvey help, report says


The all-volunteer ‘Cajun Navy’ is staging a mass mobilization to Texas after the devastation of Harvey, based on a report.

So what’s the ‘Cajun Navy’? They seem to be a group of people that transfer in with their fleet of personal boats to assist these stranded because of flooding. They’ve achieved it earlier than in southeast Louisiana, and now, they’re coming slightly additional west to assist out the Bayou Metropolis.

 

 

WAFB spoke to Jon Bridgers Sr., an organizer in command of the Cajun Navy 2016 Fb web page. He stated they’re planning a “giant push” when “issues settle down.”

Bridgers stated he and others set out with boats in the direction of Houston Sunday, however made it about forty miles outdoors the town. The roads, he advised WAFB have been are impassable. Nevertheless, he stated some have made it and are doing their greatest to assist.

The Southeast Louisiana Storm Spotters have a message for Houston: “Cling on…the Cajun Navy are en route.”
