Federal grant boosts after school programs in Putnam County


PALATKA, Fla. – The Putnam County Faculty District is getting a serious increase in after faculty program funding because of a federal schooling grant.

The twenty first Century Group Studying Middle program grant will present roughly $three.three million to the varsity district over the subsequent 5 years.

That funding will go towards increasing after faculty actions to shore up college students’ information of core educational topics, together with science, studying and math, based on the district.

“That is yet one more means we will work collectively to set our college students on track for profitable futures,” Superintendent Rick Surrency stated in a press release.

The packages might be provided to college students on the following faculties, Monday via Thursday:

  • Palatka, Interlachen and Crescent Metropolis excessive faculties, three:forty five p.m. to six:15 p.m.
  • Robert H. Jenkins, Jr., and George C. Miller center faculties, four p.m. to six:30 p.m.
  • Moseley and Interlachen elementary faculties, 2:forty p.m. to five:10 p.m.
