Head-on crash near Byers sparks grass fire

BYERS, Colo. – A head-on crash involving a semi-tractor trailer and a truck has sparked a big grass hearth close to Byers.

The Colorado State Patrol responded to the US 36 mile marker 112 round 9 a.m. Friday. The crash shaved off the highest of the truck earlier than igniting the grass.

Whereas the extent of accidents are usually not recognized, there seems to be a fatality. At the very least one different individual was airlifted to the hospital.

The hearth surrounding the crash scene seems to have been contained.
