Kidnap survivor’s father evicted from house bought for her



A person dwelling in a Coeur d’Alene residence built for his daughter after she survived one of the area’s most horrific crimes has been ordered to move out.

A north Idaho decide on Thursday ruled Steve Groene an unlawful tenant in the home owned by a charitable trust set as much as benefit his daughter.

Shasta Groene is now 21 and has moved close to Boise. The charity needs to sell the house to continue offering her with monetary help.

However Steve Groene has continued to reside in the residence constructed with donations from group members.

Shasta Groene and her household have been victimized by youngster molester and serial killer Joseph Duncan III in 2005. Two of her brothers, her mother and her mother’s boyfriend have been killed, and Shasta was held captive by Duncan for several weeks.
