Pedestrian hit, killed while walking along road in Ruskin


A pedestrian was hit and killed Friday morning in Hillsborough County.

The accident occurred round 7 a.m. Friday at Gulf Metropolis Street and Prime Notch Lane. 

Officers stated a Honda CRV was touring eastbound on Gulf Metropolis Street and struck one among two pedestrians strolling alongside the street.

Officers stated Erica Sewell, forty three, and Glenda Selner, sixty nine, have been strolling alongside the south shoulder simply east of Prime Notch Lane. Sewell was within the roadway close to the fog line and Selner was within the grass on the south shoulder.

Because of the lighting circumstances and oncoming visitors, the driving force of the Honda didn’t see the pedestrians, officers stated. The Honda struck Sewell with the suitable entrance of his car and she or he died on the scene. 

Officers stated no fees are anticipated.
