Pedestrian struck, killed by car while crossing Route 22 in Union

A Union Township man died after he was hit by a automotive as he tried to cross the eastbound lanes of Route 22 close to the intersection of Greeley Avenue South, police stated Tuesday.

Noor Hussain was hit by a automotive pushed by a sixty two-yr-previous Union man about 9:15 Monday night time, in accordance with Sgt. Robert Donnelly of the Union Police Department.

“Mr. Hussain suffered numerous injuries because of the crash,” Donnelly stated.

Hussain was taken to University Hospital, where he later died, Donnelly stated. Police did not have the sufferer’s age.

Route 22 eastbound was closed after the crash and visitors was detoured. Police later closed the left two lanes as they investigated, Donnelly stated.

The investigation is ongoing pending further info and witness interviews, Donnelly stated.
