A gaggle of Sarasota center faculty college students are set to pit their robotics expertise towards the world on the VEX Robotics World Championship in April.

The 5 college students that make up the VEX Robotics group at Sarasota’s Brookside Center Faculty know the which means of teamwork. Whether or not they’re screwing items into place or programming the newest model of their robotic, the method takes time and endurance.

The group of thirteen-yr-olds come to high school an hour early every day, and spend each probability they get in teacher Joel Kaplan’s classroom. The challenge even comes residence with them.

Their streak of success will now take them to the VEX World Championships in April. There, they’ll tackle 1,200 groups, with a few of their strongest competitors coming from China.
This staff might be representing Florida together with a group from East Lake Center Faculty in Tarpon Springs, and two teams from Miami.
