Scammer steals $850,000 from Colorado school


BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado faculty district has added safeguards after a scammer stole about $850,000 of bond development cash.

The police report says the rip-off began when the Boulder Valley Faculty District’s accounts payable division acquired a name from somebody claiming to be with Adolfson and Peterson asking to vary the best way the corporate was paid.

The district instructed the individual to fill out a type, which was returned with the signature of the corporate’s chief monetary officer. That was later discovered to be a forgery.

An arrest warrant was issued for 36-yr-previous suspect Sherifdeen Mogaji.
