Suffolk cop charged with boating while intoxicated, cops say


A Suffolk County Police detective has been suspended with out pay and charged with boating whereas intoxicated after the boat he was working Saturday struck one other vessel in Southampton City waters, injuring three individuals, authorities stated.

Christopher Koltzan, a veteran detective within the seventh Precinct Squad who lives in East Quogue, was issued a desk look ticket, stated Southampton City Police Chief Steven Skynecki.
