Woman struck by semi; thwarts I-75 morning traffic

Southbound visitors on Interstate seventy five into Hillsborough County turned thwarted Tuesday after a crash involving a pedestrian. 

In response to the Florida Freeway Patrol, a lady was struck by a tractor trailer alongside the freeway at three:35 a.m. 

Troopers stated the lady was strolling within the middle lane of southbound I-seventy five close to the I-275 apex for unknown causes when she was struck by a tractor trailer.   

She sustained life-threatening accidents and was airlifted to Tampa Basic Hospital, in accordance with officers. Her situation is unknown.

Because of the crash, the middle and inside southbound lanes of I-seventy five have been closed north of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

That created a big backup on I-seventy five and even on I-275 into downtown Tampa. 

The crash stays beneath investigation.
