Nassau County police are looking for the general public’s assist in gathering details about a financial institution theft Friday in Woodbury.
There have been three staff and no clients contained in the financial institution on the time of the theft and no accidents have been reported.
In line with Theft Squad detectives, a male topic entered a Capital One Financial institution on Jericho Turnpike at about 5:35 p.m. and commenced yelling for the tellers to open the door to the teller station.
Police stated the robber “vaulted over the teller station,” ordered the tellers to open their money drawers after which took an undisclosed amount of money earlier than fleeing southbound on foot.
The robber simulated carrying a handgun inside a plastic bag through the theft, police stated.
The suspect is described as 25 to 30 years previous, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot with a mean construct. He was sporting a purple, white and blue bandanna masking his face, a grey hooded sweatshirt, bluejeans, gloves and boots.
